Use Social Media to Add Your Voice to the Small Business Rising Movement

Are you ready to add your voice to the Small Business Rising movement? Use your social media channels to amplify the message.

Small Business Rising, a new coalition of independent businesses, launched in April urging policymakers to reign in monopolies and level the playing field for independent businesses to compete and serve the needs of their communities.

Independent home improvement retailers who would like to add their voice to the Small Business Rising movement can share the coalition’s message via their social media channels. Here are three pro tips to successfully post about the movement:

1. Know your audience and keep it simple. Although other small businesses, vendors and industry professionals may follow your business’s social media accounts, many retailers have a social media audience primarily made up of customers. Therefore, your audience is most likely unfamiliar with the coalition and its objectives. It’s best to focus your messaging on what matters most to them: support for small business!

Provide brief, explanatory messaging so everyone can understand your message and what you’re trying to accomplish. Also, don’t forget to include a call to action (CTA). Invite your audience to visit the coalition’s website—don’t forget to share the link—or ask them to share your social media post.

2. Follow, like or subscribe to Small Business Rising on social media. Access the Small Business Rising website and social media accounts at the links below. You can easily share any posts or links to your own social media accounts.
