As the 2011 National Hardware Show® reaches nearly sold-out status, the roster of exhibitors participating in the PDRA Paint and Accessories section becomes more and more impressive. It has just been announced that Benjamin Moore will be part of the PDRA Paint Show, taking place at the National Hardware Show, May 10-12 in Las Vegas, Nev.
“We’re looking forward to being in Vegas at the 2011 PDRA Paint Show and interacting with retailers from across North America,” stated Dan Calkins, Director of North American Sales for Benjamin Moore.
Benjamin Moore, a Berkshire Hathaway company, is one of the nation’s leading manufacturers of premium-quality residential, commercial and industrial paint and coatings. Its products are distributed via a network of independent paint and decorating retailers throughout North America.
The 2011 National Hardware Show is actually nine shows in one. In addition to the PDRA Paint & Accessories section, there are also segments covering: Hardware & Tools, Homewares, Lawn & Garden, Plumbing & Electrical, Storage & Organization, Tailgate Products, Inventors Spotlight and International Sourcing.
This year, the National Hardware Show will go farther than it ever has to include the latest innovations in such product categories as adhesives, caulks, sealants and putty; DIY products; ladders and stepstools; paint; paint tools and accessories; stains; strippers, solvents and thinners; varnishes; wall and window coverings and much more. The PDRA Paint Show will showcase products from more than 250 companies. The show’s commitment to the paint and accessories category is evidenced in the events presented each year by the PDRA.
For the 2011, the National Hardware Show promises to expand on an already impressive list of global attendees, not only from traditional retail and wholesale outlets but additional channels like grocery, mass, drug, catalog and the Internet—collectively representing almost $240 billion in sales revenue. There will be a larger-than-usual contingent of independent hardware retailers following the co-location of the National Hardware Show and NRHA All-Industry Convention. The joint event will incorporate all of the programming the NRHA currently offers at its annual meeting—including the Young Retailer of the Year and Retail Innovators of the Year awards—while allowing the two organizations to more fully serve the industry in one annual gathering. The 2011 event will also feature Independents Day, a celebration of independent dealers that will close out the three-day show.
