With an eye toward the future, four speakers will be speaking at the PDRA Show at the National Hardware Show® on topics of vital interest to every paint and decorating, hardware and home improvement retailer.
Want to know more about social media like Twitter and Facebook? Interested in what makes Generation Y tick? Looking for ways to adapt to the greening of retail? These speakers will cover all these topics and more on the Future Fair Stage, a special feature of the May 4-6 show, which takes place at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nev. Here is a brief synopsis of what to expect.
Tuesday, May 4:
Doug Stephens of Retail Prophet Consulting will speak on the topic of “What NOW? Selling to the Post-Crisis Consumer.”
Ken Gronbach, author of the acclaimed book “The Age Curve: How to Profit From the Coming Demographic Storm” will share insights from that book in a seminar called “The Customer You Don’t Know: Profiting from the Coming Demographic Storm.”
Kit Yarrow, who chairs the Psychology Department of Golden Gate University, will talk about “Generation Bu Y: Connecting with the New Power Consumer.”
Wednesday, May 5:
Justin Doak, president of the consultancy firm Ecoxera, which specializes in bring green strategies to retail, will lead a discussion on “Greentailing: Turning Green into Green.”
Stephens returns to address “The Rise of Social Media.”
Ken Gronbach’s second presentation will be “Winning in a Multi-Cultural World.”
Stephens returns to the stage once again for a review of “Social Media: Using Twitter, Facebook and YouTube to Grow Your Business.”
Thursday, May 6:
For the final day of the Future Fair, Stephens’ topic with be: “It’s a Wired, Wired World: The Future of Retail Technology.”
Gronbach will may another appearance, this time addressing: “The Talent Glut: Why North America’s Employee Talent Pool Will Soon Be Bottomless.”
