One of the things I have noticed at trade shows and buying shows is that dealers were so frustrated with some of the programs that they went out a looked for other vendors. Using the Benjamin Moore name to draw in customers and selling them another brand. This is good it sounds as if they are listening.

"All at no cost to state taxpayers"

"The program would be funded by an assessment on retail paint products"

These 2 statements do not seem to jive. Assessment equals taxation, it would seem to me. Lets call a spade a spade.

Rebecca is the pinnacle example of what independent paint retailers should follow. Her winning attitude for the common goal of growth for "all" independents shine brightly.

I've read her consumers color plans and know that her thousands of consumers keep coming back because she is knowledgeable and has their best interest at heart while she's demonstrating expert paint color skill and product knowledge.

Old School - I understand technology has taken over in many different ways. And, I understand that a client wants their consultant to be on the cutting edge. However, bottom line still seems to be that the client will need to see 'live' color on the wall to make a decision.

I would love to buy an iPhone and have this as a tool on my consultations, I would really 'look good' and we all want to look good. So the Old School part of me still carries all the live colors to consultations, this is getting pretty cumbersome I will admit.

My point is technology may look great for your brand awareness, but how it helps me, I don't know.
