Excitement is building here at PDRA as preparations are in high gear for The PDRA Paint & Accessories Show at the National Hardware Show! The show, which runs from May 6-8 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, is promising to be one of the best shows ever. Over 250 manufacturers plan to exhibit their wares in many different product categories. Also, according to Paint & Decorating Retailer’s “Special Show Section” in the April 2014 issue, the PDRA show is bringing more than 700 new buyers and distributors to the paint section, making it the single largest buying opportunity in the U.S. for this sector.
Jeff Baggaley, PDRA president, believes this show is becoming one of the most important shows for independent dealers. “This is the only national and international show that is truly independent, not to mention that it is the largest and most comprehensive show available for paint retailers in North America and beyond,” says Baggaley.
Much to See and Do
The National Hardware Show will have numerous exciting events for attendees, including seminars, product demonstrations, and keynote addresses. There will also be an appearance by the Scott brothers, Drew and Jonathan, who are hosts of HGTV’s Property Brothers, Brother vs. Brother and Buying & Selling. More than 2,500 vendors will be showcasing more than 250,000 products. NHS officials say there are 539 new exhibitors this year, and that they expect over 30,000 industry professionals to attend the three-day show.
The PDRA Paint & Accessories Show will also be partnering with the Lancaster Buying Show on Wednesday, May 7, and Thursday May 8. Providing an even more extended reach into the paint industry for attendees, the Lancaster Show will take place at the Riviera Hotel and Casino.
