With 2010 on our doorstep, now is the time for New Year’s resolutions. You can hope that 2010 will be a better year economically than 2009 was. But you shouldn’t leave your fate entirely to economic circumstances that you cannot control. Take charge of your own business by making resolutions that will improve your business performance. Here are five suggestions.

1. Try something new.

Paint Sales: Predictions for 2010

After a year of sharply lower paint sales, paint manufacturers are predicting that 2010 will provide a bit of a rebound…though it won’t happen right away. Key executives for major paint brands told Paint & Decorating Retailer magazine that they expect the paint industry to show signs of improvement in the coming year, but not until the second quarter or possibly even later. And some predict that 2010 will still be relatively flat when compared to the sluggish sales of 2009. Here are some of the highlights of what these executives had to say: (more…)
