More than 200 exhibiting companies will be showing their wares in the PDRA-sponsored Paint & Accessories section of the National Hardware Show®, taking place May 10-12 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nev.
The National Hardware Show is actually “9 Shows in 1.” In addition to Paint & Accessories, other sections include: Hardware & Tools, Homewares, Lawn & Garden World, Plumbing & Electrical, Storage & Organization, Tailgate Products, Inventors Spotlight and International Sourcing.
The Paint & Accessories section has a wealth of products in such categories as paint, stains, primers, specialty coatings, paint applicators, painting tools, caulks and sealants, painters’ tapes and adhesives, patching and repair products, tarps and drop cloths, paint cleaners, thinners, strippers, removers, tinting and mixing equipment, ladders and scaffolds, safety equipment, decorative accessories and more.
Show hours are 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, May 10-11, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, May 12. Special events include the following:

PDRA Scholarship Award Ceremony

Join Ed Several, Senior Vice President of the National Hardware Show, and PDRA President Jeff Baggaley as they announce the winner of the 2011 PDRA Scholarship. Generously sponsored by the National Hardware Show, the PDRA Scholarship is presented to a worthy individual, nominated by a PDRA member, to help them achieve their educational goals.
PDRA Booth #3431
Throughout the show, paint and decorating retailers are invited to stop by the PDRA Booth, #3431, to chat with the PDRA Board of Directors and key staff as well as to learn about the many benefits provided by the association, including a new low-rate credit card processing program that is guaranteed to save members money and the well-received online PDRA Coatings Specialist Training Course.
Celebrities on Hand
The National Hardware Show is the premier event of the home improvement industry and will feature an impressive list of celebrities appearing during the course of its three-day run. Among the big names who will be present at the event is national TV personality and home design expert Ty Pennington, a spokesman for Sears Corp., who will appear on the Main Stage at 12:20 p.m. May 11 to present a toolbox full of Sears tools and gift cards to Opportunity Village, a not-for-profit organization that serves people with intellectual disabilities and is the preferred charity of the National Hardware Show.
Other celebrities making an appearance will include: actor and noted environmentalist Ed Begley Jr., appearing on behalf of Santerra Green; NFL Hall of Famer Jack Youngblood, appearing on behalf of Prime Wire & Cable; and HGTV personality Lisa LaPorta, who will be promoting her new outdoor furniture line and cushion program in partnership with Jordan Manufacturing.
